New Site: KLD Medical
Just finished up a new site for KLD Medical that I felt the need to share. Why share it you ask? Well I’m kinda proud of it. Well basically, I just copied the plant we have now…then, I added some fins to lower wind resistance. And this racing stripe here I feel is pretty sharp.
At the end of the day, it really is about the form and function of your design. And I’m looking to put together the best wind resistant fins and the sharpest racing stripes around.
As a designer, and fan of The Simpsons in general, Homer Simpson almost gets it right in episode F419 “Homer’s Enemy”—applying function and form in order to upgrade the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Translating this quote to design, he may have missed the mark by “copying” the existing plant, but all else rings true in a sense. (more…)
